Bel Marra Health Supports Recent Research That Shows the Mortality Rate Amongst Diabetic Adults Has Dropped by 40 Percent

Toronto, ON (PRWEB) June 03, 2012

Bel Marra Health, well known for offering high-quality, specially formulated vitamins and nutritional supplements, supports research that shows the mortality rate amongst diabetic adults has dropped by 40 percent.

According to a new study published in the American Diabetes Association journal, there is some good news and some bad news when it comes to the current diabetes epidemic. The good news is that the cardiovascular disease mortality rate amongst diabetic adults dropped by 40 percent between 1997 and 2004, according to data collected on 250,000 adults, during a National Health Interview Survey. In addition, the total diabetes related death rate dropped by 44 percent.

The researchers credit advances in blood glucose control, early detection techniques, a reduction in smoking, overall healthier lifestyle choices and intervention programs for the decrease in diabetes related deaths.

Despite this encouraging finding, Ann Albright, director of CDC?s Division of Diabetes Translation warned in a press release, ?Taking care of your heart through healthy lifestyle choices is making a difference, but Americans continue to die from a disease that can be prevented. Although the cardiovascular disease death rate for people with diabetes has dropped, it is still twice as high as for adults without diabetes.?

However, despite the improved life expectancy amongst diabetic individuals, the prevalence of diabetes is predicted to rise substantially over the next few decades and it is estimated that by the year 2050, one in three Americans will suffer from this blood sugar regulating disorder. ?Death rates, along with earlier detection of undiagnosed diabetes and incidence of new diabetes cases, are the principal determinants of future diabetes prevalence and the disease and economic burden that follow,? states chief of epidemiology and statistics in CDC?s Division of Diabetes Translation and lead author, Edward W. Gregg, PhD. ?Recently published models indicate that declining mortality among people with diabetes can lead to a substantial increase in prevalence.? In other words, as the consequences of diabetes declines, its prevalence increases.

CEO of Bel Marra Health Jim Chiang says, ?Diabetes currently costs 174 billion dollars annually, and if an effective diabetes cure is not produced, or the development of diabetes is not curtailed, the blood glucose disorder will cause dire economic consequences.?

Bel Marra Health Supports a Recent Study That Shows Cancer Survivors are Likely to Die From Other Conditions

Toronto, ON (PRWEB) June 20, 2012

Bel Marra Health, well known for offering high-quality, specially formulated vitamins and nutritional supplements, supports a recent study that shows cancer survivors are likely to die from other conditions.

The researchers evaluated 1,807 cancer survivors that had participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys Study (NHANES). Breast, prostate, cervical, lung and colorectal cancer development were the most common form of cancer in the study group. The participants in the study were followed for more than 18 years.

Over the course of the study, 776 of the participants died ? 51% from cancer and 49% from non-cancer causes. Heart disease was the most common cause of non-cancer death in the group, accounting for over two thirds of the non-cancer deaths. Chronic lung diseases were responsible for 15%, Alzheimer?s disease 4% and diabetes 4% of non-cancer related deaths. The researchers found that the longer a survivor lived after the initial cancer development and diagnosis, the more likely they were to die from another disease.

The researchers state that once cancer development has been diagnosed, doctors as well as survivors pay less attention to taking preventative steps to protect against other diseases and complications; the focus is usually placed on cancer prevention.

The researchers stress that with nearly half of all cancer survivors dying of an un-related condition, preventative measures should be taken to protect other aspects of their health.

Spokesperson for Bel Marra Health Dr. Victor Marchione says, ?Many of the steps for cancer prevention, including not smoking, reducing exposure to alcohol, exercising regularly as well as eating a healthy diet are also preventative steps to take to protect against other health conditions. Since heart disease accounts for over two thirds of non-cancer related deaths in survivors, taking preventative measures to prevent this disease is vital.?

CEO of Bel Marra Health Jim Chiang also commented on the study saying, ?If you are a cancer survivor, cancer prevention is always going to be in the forefront of your mind. Taking steps to prevent future cancer development is important, but taking other preventative health steps is just as important to your overall health and well-being.?

Preventing Summer Slide in Health and Learning: Ivy Child International Partners with Metrowest Yoga to offer Yoga and Mindfulness for Kids Summer Program

Worcester, MA (PRWEB) June 13, 2012

Ivy Child International (Ivy Child), a nonprofit that practices cross-cultural positive psychology to help children, families and communities across the globe, is partnering with Metrowest Yoga in Worcester for a Yoga and Mindfulness for Kids Six-Week Summer Program to keep children active and engaged during the summer break when weight gain and risk of obesity, as well as learning loss are at their peak.

Ivy Child?s Summer Program will be held at Metrowest Yoga every Tuesday and Thursday from July 10 to August 23, 10am-12pm. The classes will be taught in two batches for ages two and a half to six, and seven to ten. Parents can choose to observe or participate in the classes as well.

Studies show that inactivity during the summer months can cause children to gain weight three times faster and lose more than two months of reading progress than during the school year.

Rose Pavlov, founder of Ivy Child International concurs: ?Without structure and with ample free time, kids are more inclined to watch television, use computers and other gadgets and play video games while indulging in unhealthy snacking for hours on end. Enrolling kids in mindful movement classes during the summer will keep them active while inculcating deep respect for and sustained focus on using their minds and bodies in a healthy and positive way.?

Ivy Child’s Yoga and Mindfulness Summer Program will incorporate traditional yoga poses as well as contemporary ones inspired by nature to encourage enhanced imagination and participation by the children. It will also teach mindfulness techniques and coping strategies such as the Feelings Chart? and Pavlov?s Calming Hands? to assist children with identifying nuanced, complex emotions and with controlling stress triggers to circumvent negative patterns of thought and behavior.

Metrowest Yoga is an alignment based yoga studio that teaches primarily Vinyasa and Hot Hatha Yoga and caters to all people, no matter what level of yoga knowledge. Metrowest Yoga invited Ivy Child International to offer their unique approach to students at their center. Shawn Shaw, owner of Metrowest Yoga: “We are partnering with Ivy Child because we are very impressed that the services they offer embrace positive psychology, yoga and mindfulness and cross-cultural education for children. Together, we aim to provide children with the tools they need to be happy, peaceful people and contribute to the world in a positive way.?

The Summer Program was launched in response to the success of the 16-week pilot hosted at SALMON Center for Early Education, Worcester, MA this past spring. The pre-school participants of the SALMON program showed significant improvement in managing their emotions and subsequent behaviors, according to their teachers and parents.

Ivy Child also recently announced its specialized Yoga and Mindfulness program for improving the holistic health of pediatric cancer patients and their families and is currently seeking partnerships with hospitals and care centers for hosting group or individual private classes.

In addition to its Yoga and Mindfulness programs, Ivy Child also offers kids, teens, caregivers, educators and administrators Bullying Prevention and Leadership as well as Multicultural and Music Education, to teach conflict resolution skills, and to cultivate cross-cultural understanding in schools, after-school programs and community centers. New iPad App Connects with All Mobile Devices and Desktops to Help ADHD Students Recall What?s Most Important to Them Each Day – And it Enables Parents to Become More Aware of their Child?s Progress on a Daily Basis

(PRWEB) May 08, 2012

Memory on Demand, LLC, developers of organizational and memory-enhancing software for ADHD students, announces the addition of a major new app feature called ?What?s Up? to its Focus GPS software. ?What?s Up? can text or email a student?s ?To Do?s? to his or her parents, tutors, friends, or any guidance supporter. This design helps the student deal with two common school-related problem areas, forgetfulness and procrastination.

Forgetfulness: Many parents are justifiably concerned that during the course of a school day their ADHD student might forget to complete the most important tasks on his or her daily ?To Do? list. Being able to glance at his or her ?What?s Up? in their cell phone at any time eliminates this key problem.

Procrastination: Procrastination is a second key issue for many students. Parents and tutors are powerless to help the student deal with this challenge until they become aware of the student?s upcoming projects and/or responsibilities. By providing this information, What?s Up introduces the concept of ?accountability.? This knowledge can powerfully motivate the student to do the work, earn praise, and enjoy a feeling of success.

Focus GPS, currently in testing with children and adults who have ADHD, supports three critical executive function areas: memory, concentration, and organization. The software permits ADHD users to step through complex thought processes and effectively manage shifting priorities.

The founder of Memory on Demand, Ray E. Omholt, suffered a stroke in 1990 that damaged his executive functions. In the years following, he researched the working of the brain and its ability to remember, concentrate, and organize facts and thoughts. Based on his research and many years of empirical development, Omholt created Focus GPS, the software he now uses daily to support his memory and increase his organizational capabilities. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=iWk5njKapAE).

Memory on Demand does not stand alone in recognizing the needs of students with ADHD for special support. It is commonly agreed, including by nationally recognized ADHD experts, that individuals diagnosed with ADHD can benefit from support above and beyond that provided by medications alone, however helpful such medications may be.

Focus GPS uses multiple information pathways (vision, sound, associations, etc.) to help ADHD students absorb information more deeply and remember it longer. Its patent-pending design greatly simplifies the prioritization and analysis of tasks, thoughts, and decisions by displaying side-by-side views of related thought-lines. This is by far the easiest way for users to be able to compare and make good choices between various alternatives by their relative importance without having to rely on memory.

Memory on Demand, LLC, is located at 668 Kadar Drive, West Chester, PA 19382. Its website is http://www.Memory-on-Demand.com. Contact Ray Omholt at Ray(at)Memory-on-Demand(dot)com or call 1-800-398-1157.

For National Children?s Mental Health Awareness Week Shanti Generation and Move with Me Action Adventures Launch Nationwide Campaign to Bring Yoga to Schools… Free

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 08, 2012

The first full week of May has been declared National Children?s Mental Health Awareness Week by the National Federation of Families for Children?s Mental Health.

The purpose of the week is to increase public awareness about the triumphs and challenges in children?s mental health and to emphasize the importance of family and youth involvement in the children?s mental health movement. Shanti Generation? and Move with Me ? Action Adventures, supported by Yoga-Recess ?, have launched a ?Buy 1, Give 1? program, similar to the TOMS? shoe model, to bring yoga programs into public schools, FREE.

?Children with a wide range of mental health issues can benefit from the social-emotional learning (SEL) skills that basic yoga practice teaches including self-awareness and self regulation. We use simple techniques of conscious breathing, mindful awareness, stretching and centering postures to give children tangible tools for reducing stress,? says Abby Wills, a Southern California yoga instructor, who holds an MA in Education and has fifteen years of hands-on experience working in schools. She is the founder of Shanti Generation ?, a ?youth centric? yoga program created to help tweens and teens (ages 8 ? 16) develop confidence and strength while cultivating inner peace and mindfulness, SHANTI GENERATION: YOGA SKILLS FOR YOUTH PEACEMAKERS.

The ?Free Yoga Resources for Classrooms Project? was envisioned as a way to bring easy-to-use yoga curricula to educators from Pre-K ? 12, at no charge. The project encourages public school teachers to register to receive a free DVD (plus educational license) of either SHANTI GENERATION: YOGA SKILLS FOR YOUTH PEACEMAKERS (middle and high schools) or MOVE WITH ME ACTION ADVENTURES (for pre-school and early elementary grades) and then solicits the yoga community to Buy 1 (or more copies of the DVD) in order to Give 1 to a school. ?With ongoing budget cuts, most teachers can?t afford to purchase the educational license required to use these program in schools,? says Leah Kalish, MA, former Program Director of Yoga Ed. and founder of Move with Me ? Action Adventures DVDs, which are designed to involve the whole child (ages 3 ? 7), in social-emotional learning through yoga stories and pretend play.

Over the last 2 years, Yoga Recess ? collected ten thousand requests from teachers wanting a FREE copy of the SHANTI GENERATION or MOVE WITH ME; however the cost involved in fulfilling those requests is prohibitive. ?Now we just need the yoga community to step up,? says Wills. ?Yoga has helped children with ADHD, Autism and chronic disease to stay physically healthy and mentally focused. It?s also an incredible antidote to the bullying epidemic that is confronting our children. ?

?Our goal,? says Kalish, ?is to have at least 600 units of both SHANTI and MOVE WITH ME purchased and delivered to teachers by the end of the 2012. Yoga practices give kids and teachers the tools and techniques they desperately need to manage stress, develop emotional intelligence and learn healthy self-regulation. This is our way to support the next generation in becoming well-balanced adults.?

Who is The Breast Cancer Society?

Many women who are battling breast cancer are forced to quit their jobs while undergoing treatment for cancer. This makes it especially difficult for them to afford everything from everyday basic needs to necessary breast cancer medication such as chemotherapy. To make matters more difficult, a great many of these women are single working mothers who are not only struggling to meet their own needs, but to meet the needs of their children as well. The primary focus of the Breast Cancer Society is to provide financial aid to qualified women by dispensing monthly grants to help pay for food, housing, child care, and other necessities.

While there are many non-profit organizations whose primary mission it is to fund research and education – the types of groups that do everything from publicizing breast cancer statistics that promote awareness to spending those long laboratory hours in search of a cure for breast cancer – the Breast Cancer Society is one of the country’s only national breast cancer charities with a primary focus on providing direct help and financial aid to those waking up to battle breast cancer every single day.

The Breast Cancer Society recognizes that research and education efforts are vital, but there are many thousands of victims each year who need much more than just hope for a cure – they need immediate help in facing the financial challenges brought on by their illness. For this reason, the Breast Cancer Society places a great deal of value on their supporters. The charity relies on public support, mainly through channels of direct mail marketing, tele-fundraising, vehicle donations, corporate grants, volunteers, and so on.

The guiding mission of the Breast Cancer Society is “to provide relief to those who suffer from the effects of breast cancer. We also work with and give support to other organizations that share in the goal of helping cancer patients.”

The Breast Cancer Society Inc. is a 501-C3 nonprofit charitable corporation which began operations in January of 2008. For more information about breast cancer statistics, how to afford your breast cancer medication, etc., visit the website or call the main office at (480) 284-4014.

Allsup Advises Ongoing Treatment For Those Suffering With Depression

Belleville, Ill. (PRWEB) June 13, 2011

Depression is a relatively common disorder that can interrupt lifestyles, normal routines and daily activities. Researchers at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) report that depression and other debilitating mental illnesses affect 6 percent of the adult population and cost more than $ 300 billion each year. According to Allsup, which represents tens of thousands people nationwide in the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) application process each year, it is imperative that those who suffer with depression receive the necessary treatment and ensure documentation by their healthcare providers.

Depression comes in several forms, according to NIMH, including major depression, dysthymia, psychosis, postpartum depression, seasonal affective disorder and bipolar disorder. In addition, depression may live side-by-side with other illnesses, such as post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social phobia and anxiety disorder.

The most important step for individuals is to make their doctor aware of their illness so that it can be properly addressed, said Ed Swierczek, senior claims representative at Allsup. Social Security Disability Insurance is a federally mandated insurance program. SSDI provides monthly benefits to individuals with a severe disability who are under full retirement age (age 65 or older) and who can no longer work because of a severe disability (injury, illness or condition) that is expected to last for at least 12 months or is terminal. Individuals must have paid FICA taxes to be eligible.

?Anyone suffering from depression should always seek a mental healthcare professional for treatment,? Swierczek said. ?Psychiatrists and psychologists are preferred as treatment sources, but the Social Security Administration has now indicated in a recent ruling that the evidence from a licensed clinical social worker or therapist may be used as evidence in the support of a claim for SSDI benefits.?

Documentation of medical treatment by mental health professionals is needed to reflect the presence of the disorder as well as other symptoms produced by the illness. ?A primary care physician may be aware of your depression, but the records of a qualified mental healthcare professional will have more weight before an administrative law judge,? Swierczek said.

Find a doctor who will take steps to rule out all other possibilities. Some medications, viruses or a thyroid disorder can imitate the same symptoms as depression. When the doctor determines that no other medical condition is the cause, the patient may then be referred to a mental health professional for a thorough diagnostic evaluation.

An individual with depression can be treated with a number of methods once a diagnosis has been determined. The most common treatments are medication and psychotherapy.

?Depression can affect one not only mentally but physically,? Swierczek said. ?Symptoms can lead to reduced energy, enthusiasm and motivation. This can be expressed by a claimant as marked fatigue or not feeling like doing anything.?

According to the Anxiety Disorders Association of American (ADAA), other symptoms include loss of interest in pleasurable hobbies and activities, poor sleep, low appetite, change in weight, difficulty concentrating and thinking. In addition, feelings of hopelessness, pessimism, guilt, worthlessness, helplessness, irritability and thoughts of suicide can play a part in a major depressive episode.

?Periodic and timely doctor visits are important to document the ongoing nature of depression for SSDI benefits,? Swierczek said. ?The credibility of a claim could be questioned if one only sees a mental healthcare professional a few times a year.?

Both NIMH and ADAA, which provide additional resources to individuals and their families, highlight the nature of depression as a treatable disorder. Depression sufferers who follow appropriate treatment can get better and prevent recurrence.

Has Hollywood’s Diet Obsession Forced the US Government to Take Action?

New York, NY (PRWEB) August 2, 2008

In an ongoing study conducted by the National Institute for Mental Health (NIMH) new treatments for Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) are being carefully examined. BDD is a mental disorder in which and individual has an excessive fixation or preoccupation with a slight or imagined physical flaw that results in emotional and social distress. Often there is a fixation on weight loss, dieting, and a belief that one is fat when in fact one may be anorexic. The media buzz surrounding BDD has grown exponentially in recent years as Hollywood has reinforced the belief that “thin is in.” The disease has high instances of comorbidity and is very often found in association with eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia.

In its study, the NIMH is focusing on the benefits of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for patients suffering from BDD. Cognitive Therapy is a state-of-the-art, highly effective approach to psychological treatment. It is essentially a method that identifies and helps a person to correct specific errors in what he or she is thinking that produces negative or painful feelings. These erroneous or distorted thoughts also influence the person on a behavioral level, and result in maladaptive choices or reactions. CBT helps to correct those thoughts through an intervention of an individual’s thinking.

According to the NIMH website, the premise of the experiment is as follows: “Participants will be randomly assigned (like the flip of a coin) to either start CBT treatment immediately or to a waitlist group, which would require a 3-month wait without treatment before beginning treatment for this study. Participants have a 50-50 chance of being in either group. Participants will receive a total of 22 sessions of individual, manual-based CBT. The CBT sessions will occur weekly during the course of the study. During the sessions, participants will receive education about BDD and CBT, engage in activities that help them confront their BDD, learn new ways of thinking about body image, and learn relapse prevention techniques. Self-report scales will be used to assess participants.”

New York Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy expert, Dr. Allison Conner has commented on the upcoming study, saying, “CBT is particularly well suited and proven for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and given the similarities between BDD and OCD, behavioral therapy is highly likely to have a positive impact when properly applied and the patient is motivated.”

The NIMH clinical trial website is at the following address:

New Consulting Alliance Forms to Protect Pregnant Mothers and Young Children from Toxic Exposures

Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) April 27, 2012

Since 2008, Baby Planner, Inc. CEO April Beach has spearheaded consulting for the maternity concierge and hospital baby planning industries; but something was missing and April knew it was a problem. April became increasingly concerned about the lack of factual information being delivered to new and expecting families regarding toxins and chemicals and their effect on the developing fetus and growing children. ?I began to notice my own children?s health suffering from what appeared to be toxic exposures and I knew if I was missing something, so were our clients!?

Beach realized that not only was there a huge lack of information on environmental hazards, but businesses tend to fear ?green concepts? in relation to how it may affect their overall company brand. Such assumptions may be straying some companies away from providing essential consulting on toxins to their clients. ?Delivering critical-safety information to parents is the responsibility of businesses that support new families; this can no longer be seen as a ?special interest? issue. Environmental toxins are an imminent threat to pregnant mothers and children, and easy to understand factual information must be provided to businesses in order to help them?.

With this awareness, Baby Planner, Inc. went on a hunt for the best advisor to serve their businesses clients. After months searching, Baby Planner, Inc. was pleased to find Organic Baby University?s and principal green-mom founder and CEO, Jennifer Hankey.

Among the qualities that Hankey?s Organic Baby University possessed were a respected online parent-training center, an extensive database of resources, and most importantly the ability to organize it all in easy to understand and easier to follow step-by-step processes. ?Hankey not only had much of the information our hospitals and baby planners we’re missing, she documented it in practical and understandable form for companies to pass directly on to the consumer?, stated Brooke Powell of Baby Planner, Inc. regarding her concern over the lack of usable information for the company?s business clients.

Hankey?s personal discovery that of nearly 80,000 chemicals in the market place only 200 had ever been tested for safety by anyone; launched Hankey?s personal mission to learn more. At the time Hankey was expecting her first baby and had been diagnosed with an extremely rare chromosome disorder. As Hankey began to research, she learned that the environment could negatively affect the health of her baby. Hankey recalls, ?I had no idea that chemicals I had in my everyday products had been linked to birth defects, asthma, ADD, cancer, and even potentially autism in real legitimate scientific studies! I had always assumed if it was allowed in products that it must be safe- that the government was regulating these chemicals.? Upon Hankey?s alarming discovery, Organic Baby University was formed.

Hankey founded Organic Baby University on the principals that all mothers should have the right to know what they are exposing their children to, with further right to choose to stop the exposure.

Baby Planner, Inc.’s new Toxins Business Consulting Program will walk medical providers, baby planners, doulas, and birth professionals down an easy path to explain chemical exposures and potential health concerns to their clients and patients. Baby Planner, Inc. is particularly thrilled to bring Hankey on board in consulting medical providers and hospitals within their Baby Savvy? program. Hankey?s expertise is an asset to the maternity industry and new parents alike.

Want to Look Better & Feel Better? Learn the 7 Benefits of High Fiber Foods

Franklin, N.C (PRWEB) June 26, 2012

Can eating more fiber improve your life? Scientific studies show the answer is an unequivocal ?YES!? From promoting weight loss to reducing heart disease and diabetes risk, the benefits of a high fiber diet are well established. CommonsenseHealth.com has put together the definitive list of Healthy High Fiber Foods to help make it easy for you.

The latest dietary Guidelines from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recommend that women eat around 25 grams of fiber a day and men get about 38 grams. But the reality is quite different.

According to the Harvard School of Public Health, the U.S. average is only 15 grams of fiber a day, which adds up to less than half of the amount recommended daily for American adults.

Here are the seven most important reasons why you?ll want to eat more high fiber foods this summer:

1. Fiber helps you get and stay slim. High fiber foods are generally lower in calories and require more chewing and digestion time, which makes you less likely to overeat. A high fiber diet also tends to make you feel full sooner and last longer, which helps reduce food cravings and support weight control.

2. Fiber lowers your risk of diabetes. Since high fiber foods slow down digestion and blood stream nutrient absorption, many clinical studies have shown that a high fiber diet decreases your risk of Type 2 diabetes by helping to control your blood sugar levels and insulin response.

3. Fiber improves bowel movements. The fiber from fruit and vegetable skins and whole grain husks absorb water, which soften stools and make them bulkier. This helps to normalize bowel movements and prevent constipation and hemorrhoids. Studies also show a high fiber diet may help prevent pouches in the colon (diverticulosis) and relieve irritable bowel syndrome for some people.

4. Fiber helps your heart stay healthy. Many large, long-range studies have shown that a healthy high fiber diet can decrease ldl cholesterol, triglycerides and total blood cholesterol and help to prevent heart disease, America’s number one killer. For example, a Harvard university study showed that participants who ate the most fiber had a 49% lower risk of developing coronary disease.

5. Fiber foods promote brainpower. Your brain needs a healthy stream of blood glucose to function at its best. As they?re digested, fresh fruits and vegetables raise your blood glucose level gradually, avoiding the extreme up and down spikes caused by most processed foods. Studies have shown an increase in brainpower and a decrease in depression and fatigue after eating a healthy high fiber breakfast.

6. Fiber may offer cancer protection. Research has shown mixed results in relationship to a high fiber diet and the prevention of colon cancer, prostate cancer and uterus cancer. However, one study found that an increase of 13 grams of fiber a day decreased the risk of colorectal cancer by 31%.

7. Fiber foods help you to stay well. Healthy fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans and nuts are high in antioxidants that help boost your immune system. The latest research from the U.S. Cancer Institute shows that a high fiber diet could decrease your risk of death from any cause by 22%.

As you can see, it only makes good common sense to increase your daily fiber intake. But it?s important to take it slow and easy by gradually replacing low fiber foods with the healthiest high fiber foods.
