NAPW Sacremento Local Chapter Hosted Dana Masih, Executive Coach and Founder of Executopia, who Empowered Members with her Words of Wisdom
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) July 12, 2012
Members and guests of the NAPW Sacramento Local Chapter attended one of two monthly professional networking meetings on either May 14th or May 28th.The Chapter holds both a lunch and dinner meeting each month to accommodate all of its members but no matter which event they attended in May, members and guests had the opportunity to hear guest speaker Dana Masih, Executive Coach and Founder of Executopia.
A highly skilled and experienced Leadership and Executive Coach, Ms.Masih shared with meeting attendees, many of who were small-business owners and entrepreneurs, what it means to reinvent one?s self as you move through various stages of personal and professional life. She told members and guests that it is vitally important to know ?who you are, what you are about, and what your core values are.?
Her advice about the importance of knowing one?s self really hit home with the members and guests, and her words went far in empowering each and every attendee to take greater control of their lives and their careers.
?Dana reminded all of us how important it is to recognize your past achievements and celebrate them, and to always recognize your gifts from all areas of your life,? said Sharon Darrow, NAPW Sacramento Local Chapter President. ?This should include all achievements, not just those in the work arena.?
At the meetings, Ms. Masih also spoke about the importance of being a continuous learner, and pointed out that all great leaders never stop learning. She shared her passion for helping others learn about themselves and how to develop their gifts as they move forward in life.
Ms. Darrow also shared with members and guests information from her monthly conference calls with NAPW Local Chapter Presidents, which in May featured speaker Megan Wessels, President of the Chicago Chapter. Ms. Darrow pointed out a number of interesting ideas and projects from the Chicago Chapter that the Sacramento Chapter may be interested in pursuing such as having a business owner?s panel rather than a single speaker at a future meeting, as well as holding local seminars for their members on subjects such as Social Media or navigating the highly resourceful NAPW website.
Finally, as in every meeting, individual members were introduced and invited to share their career insights, interests, ambitions, and goals with other members. As they spoke to the audience about themselves and what they did, those who gave their permission were filmed for uploading to the Chapter?s Facebook and YouTube channel.
